Stop by our honey corner for a sweet treat! Try a sample of our homemade honey granola and sample various honey varieties, from the robust to the soft and floral.
Family Movie Presentation: A Bug’s Life
Join us for a family-friendly movie all about a bug’s life.
- French presentation at 9:15 a.m. and 1 p.m.
- English presentation at 11 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.
Craft and Reading “Hive”
Lavender's vibrant purple blooms and sweet scent make it a favourite among bees and other pollinators. Participate in crafting a lovely lavender sachet to take home with you. Plus, for the young budding artists, enjoy our selection of bug and flower colouring sheets! Enjoy some peaceful moments exploring our assortment of books inspired by spring, insects, and gardens.
Interpretation Station: Beekeeping Basics (ongoing activity from 9:30 am to 12 pm and from 1 pm to 4 pm)
Learn all about what it takes to “bee” in charge of a hive! Join our museum guide to learn about the honeybee’s lifecycle, the tools beekeepers need for beekeeping, and how honeybees turn nectar into honey. Plus, try your hand at assembling an empty hive!
