Russian Valentina Tereshkova was the world's first female astronaut and flew on Vostock 6 launched on June 16 1963. The flight lasted 2 days, 22 hours, 50 minutes and was concurrent with the flight of Vostok 5./ An example of 2-colour poster printing and design of the mid 1960s.
Mr. John Graham of Ottawa acquired this poster while on a trip to Cuba in the 1960s where he removed it from a telephone pole prior to the impending visit of cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova to Havana.
